Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.As part of a passionate and accomplished team, you will be working at the intersection of program management, engineering, integrated supply chain, finance and quality organizations, improving team effectiveness and coordination, and ensuring that the right people are working together to solve problems and deliver results on time.You will report directly to the Sr Manager of Ullage Systems for the 4E upper stage of New Glenn, and directly support all aspects of project management to include cost, schedule, technical design, risk & opportunity, change management, and cross-functional coordination.You will use your project management and engineering skills to organize schedules and program plans to ensure development, qualification, and production hardware is delivered and support the New Glenn build flow. You will use your technical background to understand and effectively communicate with Blue Origin engineering and production internal organizations. You will be accountable as a TPM for planning, executing, and monitoring projects according to strict deadlines as well as integrating with the overall vehicle programs. You will present status, risks & opportunities, variances, and recovery plans to engineering and program management, as well as interfacing with various stakeholders within Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other organizations. You will manage the coordination of demand, prioritization, and timely execution of the Fluid Systems hardware builds in concert with multifunctional teams across the country. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.This assignment requires attention to detail, highly developed communication skills, execution with urgency, and the ability to work under minimal direction.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Define program operations and engineering strategies to meet program performance and production objectivesDrive program strategies through implementation through assignment of projects and tasks, funding and budget tracking, and integration with key stakeholdersAct as the functional lead in all aspects of strategic technical projects and tasksEffectively collaborate with the supporting functions to maintain project schedulesPerform and lead others in the execution and facilitation of specific project plans, managing risks, tracking, reporting on status, and resolving blocking issuesWork independently toward long-range objectives without appreciable direction and determine the technical objectives of assignments to develop approaches to solutionsApply program management principles in the development of executable plans and implementation of creative solutions to complex problemDevelop data-driven insights grounded in KPIs for effective Senior Leadership decision-makingGenerate reporting and presentations for Senior Leadership levelQualifications:Passion for Blue Origin’s mission: Millions of people living and working in space!B.S./B.A. degree in engineering or a similar technical field3+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably with aerospace hardware or complex technical systems.Possess high attention to detail and strong organizational/coordination skillsStrong knack for troubleshooting and quick thinking to keep the project moving forwardProficiency in MS ProjectDemonstrated ability to build trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver resultsWorking knowledge of configuration management principles and practicesWorking familiarity with data analytics and KPI generationStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumDesired:Experience with launch vehicle development, production, and operationsExperience with leveraging AI in your work scopeExperience with Primavera (P6), CREO, WindchillWorking familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and TableauExperience across multiple portions of the product life cycleProgram Management Professional (PMP) certificationExperience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management and Cost Account Management such as EVM.Strong business management acumen and experience interfacing with large, geographically dispersed programsCorporate finance experienceSQL or other coding abilityBase Pay Range for:CO applicants is $90,934.00 - $127,307.25WA applicants is $99,201.00 - $138,880.35Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
