Drug and Alcohol Counselor Full Time • Topeka, KS, US • Salary: $50,000.00 Annually • Sign‑On Bonus: $3,000 (paid in two installments) Responsibilities Provide education, consultation, and training to KVC staff to enhance support for children and families affected by substance use disorders. Conduct individual, family, and group assessments and treatment sessions. Collaborate with external treatment providers to ensure continuity of care. Develop and implement engagement strategies to motivate families to seek help and find appropriate treatment. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field licensable by the Kansas BSRB. Experience: Previous experience with vulnerable and at‑risk children and youth. Licensure/Certification: Current Addiction and Prevention Credentialed Counselor through the KS BSRB (temporary license available). Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
