Purchasing Coordinator

Join Our Team at Egger Steel Company - Purchasing Coordinator Egger Steel Company, a leading provider of structural steel fabrication in the Upper Midwest for over 80 years, is seeking a skilled Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD. The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for: Purchase shop supplies, including PPE, welding consumables, MRO items, and other operational materials, ensuring timely availability for shop staff Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and helping maintain accurate inventory records Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, inspecting for damage or discrepancies, and preparing outgoing shipments Enter and maintain purchase orders, receipts, and vendor information in the company's ERP system Reconcile packing slips and invoices with purchase orders; research and resolve discrepancies with vendors Assist the Purchasing Manager with supplier communication, quote requests, and order follow-up Expedite open orders and communicate delivery updates to shop floor and management as needed Help organize and maintain storage areas, supply rooms, and receiving areas for efficiency and safety Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and internal departments Support other purchasing and procurement tasks as assigned Required qualifications: High school diploma Microsoft Office Able to work well with suppliers, customers, and employees Strong organizational skills Detail oriented Strong problem-solving skills Must be versatile Benefits: Paid Time Off Holiday Pay (7 days) Personal Leave (3 days) Health, Dental, Vision, AFLAC, FSA, HSA 401K - 3% Employer Contribution Group Term Life/AD&D - 100% Employer Paid Bonus Pay Tuition Reimbursement ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) Compensation: $22-$26 As a Purchasing Coordinator at Egger Steel Company, you will enjoy an array of benefits including competitive pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth.
