TO QUALIFY:
- Employees must be at least 18 years of age per Oregon State Administrative Rules
- Prefer personal or professional experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities. OR experience in front-facing customer service role and a true passion for helping vulnerable populations.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required for the Community Living Support Program.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, attire and personal presentation when interacting with persons served and their families.

What You Get to Do:
The Community Inclusion Support Specialist (DSP) is responsible for providing 1:1 support in individuals homes. The CISS/DSP will help individuals stay active and engaged by providing transportation to fun community events, hobbies, appointments, shopping trips, and other outings / errands. The CISS/DSP will also assist with a variety of household duties including cleaning, laundry, meal prep, budgeting and establishing routines. This program is to help the person served with living independently and day-to-day routines.

- Enrich and support the lives of the persons served while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including community-based supports.
- Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors when needed.
- Duties may periodically include personal care assistance and support with prescribed medications.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Able to attend two weeks of PAID in-house orientation and training
