This position combines technical accuracy, collaboration, and problem-solving to support successful project delivery. This role is based in Gas City, IN and includes occasional travel (within ~75 miles) for field verification and coordination. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop detailed shop drawings, erection drawings, and general arrangement drawingsCreate and maintain 3D models of structural and miscellaneous steel componentsInterpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and project standardsCollaborate with engineers, architects, fabricators, and contractors to resolve design issuesPerform connection detailing and ensure quality control standards are metPrepare proposals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and material listsContribute to process improvement and document control practices QUALIFICATIONSAssociate degree in a related field or equivalent experienceExperience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals detailingProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced Excel skills (preferred)Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments (preferred)Strong written communication skills for proposals and RFIsAbility to follow established procedures and collaborate within a team environment WORK ENVIRONMENTOffice-based role with periodic visits to construction job sitesExposure to active construction environments when performing field checksInteraction with cross-functional teams including engineering and field personnel PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to walk construction sites, climb ladders, and navigate uneven terrainOccasional exposure to construction-related conditions such as noise, heights, weather, and mechanical equipment PAY & BENEFITSCompetitive salary (based on experience)Comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement savings plan (401k)Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERCommercial Contracting Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
