IT Technician

What You Can Expect The IT Technician performs a combination of the following technical IT support activities with minimal supervision: Works with a team and effectively across team boundaries and organizational levels to provide customer-first technical support for key IT assets, including end-user assets, networks, security systems, communication systems, etc. Shall provide support in-person or virtually. Occasionally provide after hour and weekend support. Understands, executes and helps define IT process and standards, including change/incident management, software installation, configuring, etc. Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure Zimmer Biomet information assets are protected. May be required to lift/move technical equipment. Applies principles, concepts and practices of the ZBS Competency Model at the Technician level. How You'll Create Impact Principal Duties Provide IT support to internal employees across the enterprise Configuring laptops, implementing Cyber security provision, Configuring Anti-virus on laptops IT Asset & Inventory Management: Track, maintain, and order inventory of office supplies and IT equipment (laptops, peripherals, monitors) Vendor Management: Liaison with vendors for office equipment repairs and maintenance. Fully document IT support issues and their resolution for increased team efficiency in meeting customer needs Provide direct customer support for Zimmer IT assets Execute and help define IT processes and standards What Makes You Stand Out Ability to work successfully within a team and build effective working relationships Customer-first and results orientation; acts with a sense of urgency to resolve internal customer IT issues and delivers results in an efficient and timely manner Strong understanding of end-user IT technology; basic understanding of networking technology preferred Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written/verbal) Analytical and critical thinking skills Must be able to multitask and prioritize work effectively Has a winning attitude and instills a passion for winning with other team members, an attitude which is demonstrated by a “can do” approach Knowledge of audio and visual systems configuration Your Background Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred Technical IT certifications preferred 1-3 years of experience in computer maintenance and support or equivalent combination of education and experience Microsoft Certified Professional, such as Administer Active Directory Domain Services , Microsoft Certified Professional: Exchange Server Advanced knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu configuration Experience in automation bash shell scripting, Powershell Expertise in SaaS suchas Jira ,Slack , Teams configuration Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
