Required Skills

• Valid medical license to practice in Virginia
• Board-certified or eligible in OB/GYN or Family Medicine with obstetric privileges
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills in obstetrics and gynecology emergencies
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff and specialists
• Ability to provide emergent gynecologic care and handle obstetric emergencies effectively

Nice to Have Skills

• Previous hospitalist or OB hospitalist experience in a similar setting
• Familiarity with Level 3B NICU protocols and neonatal care coordination
• Experience working with high patient volumes of approximately 72 deliveries per month
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and hospital policies in Virginia

Preferred Education and Experience

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Prior experience in hospital-based obstetric care, ideally with 2+ years in a comparable setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

Other Requirements

• Willingness to start from February 1, 2026, and commit to the scheduled locum assignment
• Ability to travel to Christiansburg, VA, and secure necessary licenses and certifications
• Compliance with all hospital and state-specific licensure, credentialing, and documentation requirements
