Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring at least 1-2 years of L&D experience and Iowa or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• OB/GYN Combined unit within a regional health center
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor, 3:1 for couplet care
• Intermediate fetal monitoring and Philips Tracevue equipment used
• EMR: Meditech
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within the hospital to other units as needed

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE
• Minimum 1-2 years of L&D experience required; candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered if they have travel nursing experience
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required — no exceptions; all background checks must be fully cleared prior to start
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• Titers required within the last 12 months: MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
