Job Summary

We are seeking a Dispatcher for an opportunity in Petaluma, CA, supporting traffic control operations within the construction, industrial facilities, and infrastructure industry. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys coordinating people, schedules, and field resources in a fast-paced environment.

The Dispatcher will play a key role in keeping daily field operations running smoothly by scheduling flaggers, communicating with supervisors, and supporting safe, reliable job site coverage. This opportunity offers stability, a team-focused environment, and the chance to work closely with operations leadership in a role that directly impacts project success and field safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule traffic control flaggers or guardians for daily job site assignments.
- Maintain accurate records of assignments, availability, work hours, and staffing details.
- Serve as a primary communication point between field staff, supervisors, and operations teams.
- Provide clear updates regarding schedule changes, project status, safety protocols, and job requirements.
- Monitor staffing needs and report on flagger performance, attendance, and availability.
- Support daily operational needs and perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate daily dispatching and scheduling for traffic control field personnel.
- Maintain accurate staffing, assignment, and work hour records.
- Communicate schedule updates, job site changes, and safety information to field and operations teams.
- Support efficient daily field operations through timely coordination and follow-up.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Previous experience in dispatching, traffic control, construction operations, logistics, routing, or scheduling is helpful.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to qualify as a company driver.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs, phone systems, and dispatching software.
- Ability to work in an office or field environment with regular, reliable on-site attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 10 to 25 lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to travel occasionally to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in traffic control operations, flagger coordination, vehicle dispatch, routing, or construction field scheduling.
- Knowledge of traffic control safety practices, flagger protocols, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with dispatching software or workforce scheduling systems.
