Commercial HVAC Technician

ALC Legacy Group is growing its commercial service division and needs an experienced technician who can walk onto a rooftop unit at a distribution center, diagnose the problem, and get the system running again — no hand-holding required. About ALC Legacy Group ALC Legacy Group provides HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair services to commercial and residential customers across the tri-state region. We've built our reputation on technicians who show up prepared, communicate clearly with customers, and do the job right the first time. About the Role A year from now, our commercial customers across NJ, PA, and DE will know they can count on you — whether it's a scheduled PM visit or a 2 AM rooftop unit failure that's shutting down a warehouse floor. You'll work independently across a mix of commercial account types (light industrial, retail, multi-tenant office), building the kind of relationships that keep customers on our service contracts year after year. What You'll Do Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems — rooftop units, chillers, VAV systems, and commercial refrigeration Perform scheduled preventive maintenance visits for commercial service contract customers Respond to emergency service calls across the NJ/PA/DE territory, including after-hours rotation as needed Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to troubleshoot complex system issues Communicate findings and repair options clearly to facility managers and property owners Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and time logs for each job Keep your service vehicle, tools, and inventory organized and job-ready Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience as a commercial HVAC technician EPA Section 608 certification (Universal preferred) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to travel and work across the NJ, PA, and DE service territory Comfortable working at heights (rooftop units) and in mechanical rooms Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems Preferred Qualifications NATE certification Experience with commercial refrigeration and building automation/controls systems State HVAC licensure in NJ, PA, and/or DE Prior experience managing service contract accounts Compensation $60,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
