Carpenter – Job Overview A carpenter is responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing forms, structures, and frameworks that support concrete placement. This role requires the use of hand and power tools to create precise measuring, cutting, and assembling of wood, metal, and other formwork materials while ensuring alignment with project specifications, safety standards, and schedules. Carpenters work closely with foremen, superintendents, and crew members to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. Key Requirements Formwork Construction: Build, set, align, and dismantle all types of forms and scaffolding for concrete structures, including but not limited to foundations, slabs, walls, columns, beams, and elevated decks. Material Handling & Cutting: Measure, cut, and assemble wood, metal, and other materials using hand and power tools. Concrete Support: Assist in placing and finishing concrete by ensuring forms are properly secured and aligned. Jobsite Maintenance: Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Safety Compliance: Follow company and OSHA safety guidelines, wear required PPE and proactively identify and report hazards. Collaboration: Work closely with laborers, other carpenters, and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and support overall project success. Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.
