Assistant Maintenance Technician

Description ParkVista Apartments is currently seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. Responsibilities Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner Perform apartment make-ready tasks, including repairs and unit preparation Diagnose and repair basic HVAC systems, furnaces, and air conditioning units Identify and fix plumbing issues such as leaks and minor pipe repairs Maintain pool equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards Assist with general property upkeep, including preventative maintenance Respond to emergency maintenance requests as part of an on-call rotation This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, proactive, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks to keep the property running smoothly. Requirements Ability to lift and carry at least 20 lbs. or more HVAC (A/C) certification required Pool certification preferred Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, furnaces, and plumbing Experience with apartment maintenance, make-ready processes, and work order systems Willingness to work on-call as needed (rotating schedule) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions Physically active role requiring standing, bending, lifting, and walking Full-time with rotating on-call responsibilities Benefits Taking care of our clients and residents starts with taking care of our team.
