Risk Advisor - High Net Worth

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR The Risk Advisor is responsible for new insurance account production and sales activities within assigned accounts. The individual conducts market research, develops a base of business, educates, promotes and sells insurance services, and maintains a profitable book of insurance business for existing clients. The role projects a professional company image through all interactions with clients, insurance carriers, co‑workers and others. GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY Contact current, past and potential clients to solicit new and renewed business. Follow up on leads and respond promptly and efficiently to referrals. Listen attentively to client needs and make recommendations accordingly. Request referrals from current insurance clients. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client lists and provide relevant insurance information tailored to clients’ specific needs. Design custom insurance plans and recommend appropriate coverage. Survey loss exposures, needs, and possible uninsurable or difficult to insure exposures for clients. Pre‑qualify insurance prospects for insurability and quality of risk. Educate clients on agency payment expectations and cancellation procedures. Collect premiums and past‑due premiums from clients, obtain signatures on applications and ensure necessary documentation is provided. Create letters to clients offering coverage and share information and advice regarding insurance matters. Prepare summaries of insurance schedules and proposals. Review audits of policies, verify accuracy and facilitate necessary corrections between client and carrier. Work with Customer Service Reps or Managers to review existing policy coverage, upgrade accounts and remarket when possible. Prepare schedules of insurance, summaries and renewal proposals; review policy change requests and other account activity. Document automated files and coverage details, excluding standard coverage limitations where applicable to reduce errors and commission exposure. Participate in insurance marketing events, seminars, trade shows, telemarketing events and continuing education. Read and interpret technical manuals and insurance information from carriers, vendors, publishers, etc. Prepare activity, closing, follow‑up and goal adherence status reports. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE Property and Casualty Insurance License and/or Personal Lines Insurance License required and must be maintained. College degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or another relevant discipline preferred. 3 to 5 years of sales experience in the insurance industry preferred, with experience in complex personal lines coverage. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Computer literacy and ability to learn new software applications. Valid driver’s license, ability to travel to client sites and reliable transportation. WHY CHOOSE RELATION? The range is based on various factors including skill set, experience, licensure, certifications and business needs. Potential eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program subject to program rules.
