Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing bid proposals, and supporting the overall bidding process. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with estimating software. The Construction Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution.


Duties

• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating tools.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources.
• Develop accurate pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Assist in bid preparation and submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
• Support cost control efforts throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring budgets and identifying potential overruns.
• Review contracts and scope of work to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate with construction management teams to evaluate project feasibility and risk factors.
• Participate in project management activities related to scheduling, resource allocation, and contract administration.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or industrial projects.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, site operations, and cost control strategies.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Experience with construction site operations or construction management is preferred.
• Knowledge of project management principles and contract administration is a plus.
• A relevant degree or certification in Construction Management or related field is desirable but not mandatory.
