Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Location : Wichita, KS — on-site. This role is designed for an attorney who enjoys working closely with the team and being part of an established private-practice environment. Limited periods of working from home may be accommodated when personal circumstances require it.

Note : A Kansas Bar license is required. The successful candidate must be genuinely committed to the time, effort, responsiveness, and deadlines required to succeed in private practice.

Job Description

• Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution.
\n
• Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and prepare for hearings and other proceedings.
\n
• Communicate directly with clients to understand their objectives and provide practical legal guidance.
\n
• Handle discovery, depositions, negotiations, court appearances, and other litigation responsibilities.
\n
• Analyze contracts, business disputes, real estate issues, and other matters that may intersect with civil litigation.
\n
• Collaborate with colleagues while taking appropriate ownership of assigned matters and deadlines.
\n
• Maintain organized case files, meet procedural deadlines, and consistently deliver responsive client service.
\n
• Contribute to a collegial private-practice environment where attorneys are expected to exercise sound judgment and initiative.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Active Kansas Bar license in good standing.
\n
• Civil litigation experience strongly preferred.
\n
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
\n
• Ability to independently manage assignments, prioritize competing deadlines, and follow matters through to completion.
\n
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Demonstrated commitment to the demands and pace of private practice.
\n
• Candidates from law firm, in-house, or solo practice backgrounds are welcome.
\n
• Strong judgment, professionalism, attention to detail, and accountability.
\n
