Veterinary Extern - General Practice

Externship Opportunity Swan Creek Veterinary Clinic, located in Havre de Grace, MD, has been serving the community for over 17 years. We are a fully equipped hospital operating six days a week, staffed by 15 technicians, customer service reps, and a hospital manager. This externship offers veterinary students the chance to gain hands‑on clinical experience in a supportive environment committed to excellent medicine and exceptional service to animals and their owners. Responsibilities Shadow veterinarians and highly qualified technicians. Assist in medical and surgical procedures. Develop anesthesia protocols. Ask questions to learn and reinforce daily practice workflows. Externship Details Duration ranges from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate.
