Quality Supervisor

QUALITY SUPERVISOR

SEEK Careers/Staffing is recruiting for a Quality Supervisor opportunity with a well-established manufacturing organization in the Washington County area. This is a full-time, first-shift salaried position offering $85,000-$95,000 annually, based on experience.

We are seeking an experienced quality professional who can combine strong technical expertise with effective leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Strong welding knowledge is highly preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Lead, develop, train, and coach a team of quality employees

• Establish daily inspection priorities and ensure quality standards are consistently followed

• Plan and lead internal quality audits and track corrective actions through completion

• Coordinate and support customer and external audits

• Support ISO 9001 certification and recertification activities

• Develop and enforce quality policies, procedures, and standards

• Manage nonconforming material, including disposition, rework, scrap, and customer deviations

• Lead customer corrective actions using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and A3

• Lead containment activities related to customer quality issues

• Analyze and report quality metrics, including first-pass yield, customer PPM, scrap, and SPC trends

• Maintain inspection plans, control plans, and measurement criteria

• Support NPI activities, including first article inspection and PPAP documentation

• Oversee the equipment calibration program

• Utilize dimensional measuring, CMM programming, blueprint reading, and specification interpretation

• Partner with Engineering and Operations on FMEA, continuous improvement, and quality initiatives

• Coordinate supplier quality activities and corrective actions

• Communicate effectively with production, office personnel, customers, and corporate quality teams

• Promote 5S, visual management, and a positive, respectful work environment

• Travel occasionally to support quality initiatives at other company locations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 3-5 years of quality experience in a precision metal manufacturing environment

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality processes and systems

• Hands-on experience with ISO 9001, including internal auditing, document control, and certification support

• Experience with customer corrective actions, including 8D, PPAP, and A3

• Experience with dimensional measuring, CMM programming, blueprint reading, and specifications

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

• Strong welding knowledge is highly preferred

• Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, and control plan development is preferred

• CQE or equivalent ASQ certification is a plus

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
