Security Supervisor

Security Supervisor Minimum Salary: $70,000.00 Commensurate with education and experience POSITION TITLE: Security Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience as police officer, or security supervisor, or three years security experience. Knowledge of the basic principles of physical security measures and techniques. Ability to read and follow written procedural protocols. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills entering and obtaining information in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Ability to supervise personnel effectively. Must be able to stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time, climb and descend stairs, and operate under different types of weather conditions. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable. PERFORMANCE SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule and maintain daily staffing and assignments of security personnel to include working with other departments on providing staff for special events and extracurricular activities. Act as a point of contact with Director of Safety and Security, Assistant Principal and School Resource Officer. Conduct weekly Security Team meetings. Monitor security personnel at assigned areas and make periodic checks. Notify Maintenance Supervisor and Assistant Principal or PPS Coordinator of any damage, vandalism, or maintenance related issues. Assign and assist with problems in building areas such as fights, traffic problems, both inside and outside of the buildings. Submit weekly reports to Director of Safety & Security, Assistant Principal for Educational Services. Supervise students and assist staff. Monitor parking lots. Joliet Township High School Assist Deans in all matters pertaining to student discipline. Coordinate busses for pick up and dismissal. Communicate and assist with Police Liaison Officer and Security Personnel. Monitor and maintain Payroll Records for Security personnel. Schedule security substitutes. Assist in coordinating security training for staff. Confer with Assistant Principal for Educational Services in the evaluation of security personnel. Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, the Principal, Assistant Principal or on request from District Staff.
