Maintenance Manager

Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced and hands on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, controls, and reliability operations at a manufacturing facility in Houston, TX . This role will oversee maintenance personnel and technical teams while driving equipment reliability, automation improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and controls experience with the ability to lead teams, troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment, and improve plant performance through reliability focused solutions. Maintenance Manager Benefits: Direct hire opportunity with competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package Career growth opportunities within a growing manufacturing organization Opportunity to lead equipment reliability, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives Maintenance Manager Responsibilities: Lead and develop the Maintenance Department, including maintenance supervisors, technicians, and controls personnel Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, automation, PLC, and control system issues Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment uptime and reliability Support controls systems, including PLC logic, HMIs, sensors, drives, automation systems, and equipment controls Lead capital projects, equipment upgrades, installations, commissioning activities, and facility improvements Manage equipment purchases, vendor relationships, contractors, project timelines, and budgets Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Materials teams to improve processes and resolve equipment issues Analyze downtime, equipment failures, and maintenance performance to identify improvement opportunities Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve safety, reliability, and production efficiency Ensure compliance with safety procedures, LOTO requirements, environmental standards, and company policies Build a culture focused on safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement Maintenance Manager Requirements: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance Experience leading maintenance teams, technical personnel, or controls-related functions Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation, and industrial controls Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and automated equipment Experience with preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, reliability programs, and continuous improvement initiatives Experience supporting capital projects, equipment installations, and equipment upgrades Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills with a hands on leadership approach Ability to coach, train, and develop maintenance and technical team members Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally with operations and engineering teams Technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automation, Controls, or related field preferred; equivalent hands on experience considered #INDOMNI OmniForce Solutions
