Gulf Coast Orchestra Fellowship (October 2023 to May 2024)

Fellowship Program

The Gulf Coast Symphony invites musicians to audition for its Orchestral Fellowship. This is commitment extends from late October 2023 to May 2024. These paid fellowships offer a guaranteed fee of $135 per service for performances, plus additional pay for outreach opportunities. This program is geared to graduates of professional music programs who are in the earlier stages of their professional career. You must be able to work in the United States, be able to play all services offered, and have local housing in the Southwest Florida area.

Up to fifteen musicians will be chosen for the 2023/24 season.

Fellows will serve as principal players in the Gulf Coast Symphony, as well as curate chamber music concerts and other programs that further their individual artistic curiosities and points of view. Fellows will also serve as guest coaches for various Gulf Coast Symphony educational initiatives. Additional opportunities for performances will be made available throughout the season and personal projects in music will be encouraged and supported by the Symphony. For this reason, an in person audition and interview is required for those candidates selected.

Following your initial video audition, selected instrumentalist will be invited for in-person auditions in Fort Myers Florida.

The auditions will be held September 2023 in Fort Myers.
