We are seeking a dedicated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Cities and Places team, where you’ll be a key player in designing mechanical systems for a diverse array of projects, including education and healthcare facilities, data centers, and treatment plants. This role provides a unique opportunity to perform building mechanical analysis and design on local, national, and global projects, delivering technical reports, construction drawings, and specifications. Your expertise will be pivotal in: Conducting pipe sizing calculations and pump selections. Designing piping and chemical systems, HVAC solutions, and hydraulic studies. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will multiply your impact by collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary design teams and Senior Project Managers. If you are ready for the challenge, we are eager to meet you! Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Professional Engineering registration (P.E.) or eligibility to obtain. Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in infrastructure and building design. Proven ability to lead mechanical engineering projects. Experience in a multi-discipline team environment with exceptional communication skills. Background in construction support services. Familiarity with US building codes: IMC, UMC, ASHRAE 90.1/62.1/62.2, IPC, IBC. Valid driver's license. No current or future visa sponsorship needed to work for Jacobs in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in BIM drafting software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit). Hands‑on construction support experience. Project Management experience. Knowledge in alternative project delivery methods (Design‑Build, CMAR/CM‑GC, or EPC).
