Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate industrial press brakes to safely bend, form, and straighten steel and metal components according to strict specifications.
  
• Read and interpret industrial blueprints, structural drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and custom tooling requirements.
  
• Select, change, and align appropriate dies and tooling based on material thickness and specific job dimensions.
  
• Conduct routine quality inspections using precision measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures) to ensure part accuracy and minimize scrap.
  
• Monitor machine operations and apply a strong understanding of metal properties to detect defects, making necessary real-time adjustments.
  
• Coordinate with the material handling and welding teams to maintain a steady, efficient workflow through the production shop.
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times while strictly adhering to all OSHA and internal safety protocols.

Qualifications & Special Requirements:

• This is a mid-level position, so we are looking for candidates who bring 2 to 5 years of stable experience operating press brakes in a heavy manufacturing or structural steel environment.
  
• Strong blueprint reading skills and a solid understanding of metal fabrication techniques and bend allowances.
  
• Excellent shop math skills, including the ability to accurately measure and calculate angles and dimensions.
  
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or metal fabrication is a plus.
  
• Experience operating modern CNC press brakes (such as Amada, Cincinnati, or Trumpf equipment) is highly desired.
  
• Outstanding attention to detail, reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
