Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficient and compassionate service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with a variety of emergency conditions.
• Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Perform necessary medical procedures and administer medications as required.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain skills and knowledge.

Shift Information

This is a night shift position requiring 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of general emergency experience with both adult and pediatric patients.
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Certifications Preferred: NRP and TNCC.
• License: Current Registered Nurse license in South Carolina or in a multi-state/compact state.
• Skills: Familiarity with patient assessment for conditions such as CVA, and proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.

Floating Requirements

The clinician may be required to float to other facilities within the region as needed, which may include Kiawah and Summerville locations.

Additional Information

• Local candidates are welcome to apply on a case-by-case basis.
• Requests for time off must be included upon application and will be subject to facility needs.
• This position may involve emergency response assignments during hurricane season, which typically runs from June through November.
• While guaranteed hours are offered, the facility reserves the right to call off one shift per two weeks.
