Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 - $17 / hour*

What you'll be doing as an Accounting Specialist:

• Prepare and post daily and monthly general ledger entries.
• Process accounts payable invoices, purchasing card transactions, and vendor payments
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and financial records
• Prepare and process checks, deposits, reimbursements, and billing transactions
• Maintain accurate accounting records, vendor files, and financial documentation
• Assist with monthly financial reports, audits, budget reporting, and year-end activities
• Support preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).
• Research and resolve vendor payment discrepancies and account issues
• Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and external vendors
• Assist with payroll backup and other accounting projects as assigned

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (government accounting preferred)
• Knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal departments and vendors
• Background check and drug testing required
