As a Security Operations Analyst, your real-world SOC experience becomes the foundation for training AI that reasons through threats, alerts, and investigations the way a skilled analyst actually would. About The Role Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze realistic SOC scenarios — incidents, alerts, and investigations — and document your expert reasoning Classify threat severity, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions Review and evaluate detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and completeness Validate AI-generated security outputs to ensure they reflect how analysts actually think and operate Flag gaps, misclassifications, or unrealistic AI responses and provide structured expert feedback Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage processes, and investigation workflows Skilled at distinguishing true positives from noise and false positives Strong written communication skills — able to explain your reasoning clearly and concisely Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience with threat hunting, detection engineering, or red/blue team operations Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or similar Background in cloud security, endpoint detection, or network forensics Prior experience in AI evaluation or annotation workflows Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems used by world-leading research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your schedule, at your pace Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually engaging work Apply your security expertise in an entirely new and high-impact domain Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as projects grow #J-18808-Ljbffr
