Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory. All applicants must successfully pass HBM prescreen check and have a valid Hawaii driver's license. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for cleaning common areas, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues. Type: Full-time Position: Custodian Location: Koloa, HI Schedule: Sunday: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, Monday: 1:00 PM-9:30 PM, Wednesday: 1:00PM -9:30PM, and Saturday: 6:00AM-230PM (32 hours weekly) Hourly Rate: $17.50

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of all common areas within the facility.
• Operate a golf cart to navigate the property.
• Clean and organize office spaces to uphold a professional environment.
• Clean and maintain six restrooms.
• Restock restroom supplies and ensure restrooms are clean and sanitary.
• Use vacuum equipment to thoroughly clean indoor flooring.
• Sweep and mop both interior and exterior floors, and clean glass doors and mirrors to a high standard.
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces, including wiping down all tables and chairs to promote hygiene.
• Collect and properly dispose of trash from designated areas, including lifting trash from bins and transporting it as needed.
• Safely maneuver trash bins and navigate staircases as part of waste management duties.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must pass HBM prescreen check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have a valid Hawaii driver's license.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Effective verbal communication skills in English.
• Capacity to access and navigate two floors via elevator and stairways.
• Physical capability to lift, bend, and handle trash disposal tasks.
• Experience operating a golf cart is preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor maintenance tools.
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently press, lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, stair and ladder climbing and stand throughout their shifts.
