You'll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers while gaining exposure to financial markets, market data, and electronic trading technologies. Salary based on experience, targeting $150k-$175k. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and support production-grade applications using Java and Python.Build scalable, high-performance distributed systems supporting real-time business workflows.Develop and maintain low-latency messaging solutions and event-driven applications.Design and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL.Participate in architecture, design, and code review discussions.Create automated unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues in Linux production environments.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and software deployment automation.Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.Continuously improve application performance, scalability, stability, and monitoring capabilities.Learn and contribute to technologies supporting market data distribution, transaction processing, and financial messaging.Required Qualifications3+ years of hands-on software development experience using Java and Python.Strong object-oriented design and software engineering fundamentals.Deep understanding of Java, including: Multithreading-Concurrency-Collections-Exception Handling-Performance optimizationExperience building systems using messaging technologies such as: Kafka-Solace-RabbitMQ-JMS-Similar messaging platformsStrong SQL skills and 2–3 years of PostgreSQL experience, including: Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.Strong Linux experience, including: Experience working within CI/CD environments.Strong Git experience and understanding of collaborative development workflows.Familiarity with SDLC best practices and Agile methodologies.Experience using Maven, Gradle, or similar build tools.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about learning new technologies.Ability to work effectively within a high-performing engineering team.Preferred QualificationsExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.Experience integrating with third-party platforms and services.Cloud experience with AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or ELK.Exposure to real-time transaction processing systems, market data platforms, or financial technology environments.Knowledge of FIX Protocol or other financial messaging standards is a plus.What You'll BringPassion for building reliable, scalable software.Interest in high-performance distributed systems and real-time applications.A continuous improvement mindset focused on software quality and operational excellence.Strong ownership and accountability for delivering results.Curiosity to learn complex business domains and translate them into elegant technical solutions.Join a team where technology, performance, and innovation come together to power critical financial market infrastructure used by leading institutions around the world.Please connect with & send me your resume View email address on click.appcast.io
