Registered Nurse (NR) - Home Care

Description Home Health and Hospice Nursing (Req #: 72689). This is a Registered Nurse II vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience. For a limited time, MaineHealth offers up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible Registered Nurses with 0–2 years of experience and $20,000 for RN with greater than 2 years of experience. Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part‑time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part‑time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees and former MaineHealth members separated for less than 6 months are ineligible. Summary The MH Registered Nurse II – Home Care role provides patient‑family centered quality care through assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care effects. Services may be provided on an outpatient and/or community basis. The RN II level is competent in their clinical role, can care for most patients assigned, and demonstrates how to obtain appropriate resources to develop required skills over time. Automatic advancement after 1 year as an RN I – must be in good standing and meet RN I requirements. Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, document, and evaluate nursing care for patients. Provide care on outpatient or community basis. Obtain resources and develop skills for patient care as needed. Advance to RN I level after 1 year in good standing. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. License/Certifications: Current state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date. Valid driver’s license and vehicle covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy required. Experience: One year of RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where applicable).
