A/R Collections Specialist

About the Opportunity

Looking to join a growing organization with strong career advancement potential? LHH is seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections Specialist to join a collaborative finance team supporting multiple business units within a rapidly expanding company.

This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives on organization, attention to detail, and driving results.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor accounts receivable balances, maintaining aging targets (goal:
• Perform collections outreach via phone and email to ensure timely payments
  
• Maintain detailed records of collection activity, including weekly call logs and account status updates
  
• Collaborate with internal teams and escalate accounts when needed to accelerate collections
  
• Work with external partners (e.g., legal counsel) on delinquent accounts, including collection letters and lien coordination
  
• Resolve customer discrepancies, short payments, and account adjustments
  
• Process daily incoming payments, including ACH, credit card, and checks
  
• Maintain accurate A/R documentation and support reconciliation efforts
  
• Assist with reporting and analysis to support business operations
  

What You'll Bring

• 2-3+ years of accounts receivable and collections experience
  
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to manage high-volume workloads
  
• Experience handling customer communications and negotiating payment resolutions
  
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple processes simultaneously
  
• Solid organizational and follow-through skills
  
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small team
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting/ERP systems (experience with systems like Great Plains or similar is a plus)
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in high-volume invoice environments
  
• Exposure to credit analysis tools or collections workflows
  
• Experience working in a multi-entity or shared services environment
  

Schedule & Work Environment

• 100% onsite in Louisville, KY
  
• Flexible shift options:
  
  • 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM
    
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    

Compensation & Benefits

• Target salary: ~$60,000 (based on experience)
