Job Description Provide psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, stabilization, disposition, and referral services in consultation with the on‑call psychiatrist for persons in need of emergency psychiatric care appearing in our community hospital emergency departments and/or through our Mobile Crisis Response team. The role involves working with first responders, healthcare providers and community‑based agencies to stabilize psychiatric crisis situations, avoid hospitalization and/or incarceration, and initiate immediate community‑based treatment. This fast‑paced, dynamic position requires flexibility, multitasking, and strong crisis management skills. Clinicians also provide in‑office triage, crisis intervention, stabilization, back‑to‑school evaluations, and referral services as appropriate for persons scheduled by evaluating clinicians in the EDs and/or referred by other providers, calling on the phone (for themselves or others) or walk‑ins to our lobby as indicated by presenting psychiatric status. Shifts are flexible and include overnights and occasional assigned weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities Rapid response, face‑to‑face assessment, diagnostic screening, wrap‑around safety planning, and interventions responsive to client goals, needs and resources. Ability to work closely with the ED health care team, on‑call psychiatrists/es team & referral sources to provide high‑quality, accessible services.
