Senior Material Flow Analyst

Responsibilities Lead plant material flow and supplier management plans supporting the Appliance Production System (APS). Own/develop delivery plans, transportation plans, packaging plans, shop floor flow, and supermarket implementation for all parts. Lead efforts to meet or exceed key performance metrics, including operation plan goals for schedule achievement, product availability, headcount & overtime, mix & cycle time, inventory reduction, and transportation efficiency. Implement Lean principles such as PFEP, Single Piece Flow (SPF), standardized work, and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive process stability through standardized work execution and champion Kaizen events within the department. Interface with shop operations, quality, plant maintenance, sourcing, manufacturing engineering, and new product introduction teams. Manage transportation and logistics costs, reduce inventory, and drive year‑over‑year productivity. Develop and improve IT tools and systems to reduce cost and simplify material flow processes. Prepare senior‑management updates for key projects and initiatives. Promote a problem‑solving culture, empower team members, and enforce safety, EHS compliance, and accident investigation procedures. Lead cross‑functional escalation teams to resolve value‑stream problems and implement root‑cause countermeasures. Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, performance feedback, talent development, and disciplinary actions as required. Recruit resources, develop future leaders, and partner with HR on policy administration. Maintain overall safety performance, conduct safety observations, meetings, audits, and 5S housekeeping standards. Ensure product quality and compliance with manufacturing control plans, first‑pass yield, overall yield, and service call rate metrics. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related discipline. 5+ years of hands‑on experience in materials flow engineering, distribution, logistics, or supply‑chain operations with Lean production methods. Strong computer skills, including robotic languages, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Ability to teach, facilitate meetings, provide constructive feedback, and actively listen. Proficiency in problem identification, analysis, and resolution in multi‑functional settings. Effective interpersonal, communication, coaching, and leadership influencing skills. Collaborative teamwork abilities. Preferred: Prior manufacturing/plant operations experience, proven leadership with business impact, Six Sigma certification. Working Conditions Work usually occurs in both office and manufacturing environments, with occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and work shoes or boots are required. Weekend and/or evening work may be required occasionally.
