Job Description

SURESTAFF is hiring a for a Mailroom Associate for a large printing client in Morton Grove, IL. The Mailroom Associate is primarily responsible for sorting mail into designated trays and pallets with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. This position works in a fast-paced environment to meet production deadlines and assists with mail inserting equipment as needed.

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18-20/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 1st shift or 2nd shift

Responsibilities of the Mailroom Associate:

• Sort mail accurately into designated trays and pallets according to job specifications.
• Read and follow job tickets, production instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Inspect mail for accuracy, quality, and proper sortation.
• Assist with inserting equipment and other mailroom operations as needed.
• Prepare completed mail for staging, wrapping, and shipment.
• Maintain accurate production records and paperwork.
• Report machine issues, mail quality concerns, or production problems to the appropriate supervisor or operator.
• Meet production schedules, deadlines, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications of the Mailroom Associate:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or mailroom environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and follow job tickets, instructions, and specifications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for approximately 90% of the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle mail, trays, pallets, and supplies as needed.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift as needed.
