Patient Services Specialist (Entry Level) Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite) Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week Shift Hours: Varying schedules between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM About the Role We are hiring Patient Services Specialists to join a growing specialty pharmacy team. In this role, you will help patients navigate insurance benefits, prior authorizations, financial assistance programs, and prescription-related questions while providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies Verify insurance benefits and coverage information Support prior authorization requests, appeals, and medical exception processes Assist patients with financial assistance and manufacturer-sponsored support programs Research and resolve insurance claim and coverage issues Track and follow up on authorization requests to ensure timely completion Maintain accurate documentation and patient records Provide professional, compassionate customer service throughout the patient experience Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable speaking with patients, providers, and insurance representatives Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems Preferred Experience Call center or customer service experience Healthcare, pharmacy, medical office, or insurance experience Benefits verification or prior authorization experience High-volume phone support experience Hiring Process Offers will be made based on resume review Candidates should be prepared to move quickly through onboarding Background check required Drug screen required Training Information Start Date: November 16, 2026 Candidates must be available to start training on November 16. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
