This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining property systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for residents.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplete resident service requests in a timely and professional mannerPerform repairs and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliancesConduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance throughout the communityAssist with the upkeep of grounds, amenities, and common areasPrepare apartments for move-in by performing repairs, painting touch-ups, and cleaningEnsure tools, supplies, and equipment are properly maintained and storedMaintain accurate records of work completed and parts usedElect to participate in the voluntary Opt-In Emergency Call Assistance ProgramFollow all safety protocols, building codes, and company proceduresNon-Essential DutiesAssist in inventory control of maintenance suppliesSupport community events or property inspections as requestedProvide backup coverage for porter/janitorial duties when neededOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ years of general maintenance experience, preferably in residential or property managementBasic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systemsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with maintenance tools and equipmentValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to work flexible hours including weekendsAbility to communicate effectively with team membersPreferred QualificationsExperience in apartment maintenance or multi-family housingTrade school or certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systemsOSHA or safety trainingWork Environment and Physical RequirementsFrequently work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsRegularly climbs ladders, bends, kneels, and reaches in confined spacesRoutinely lifts or moves objects up to 50 poundsOperates hand and power tools safely and efficientlyUses personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredCompany ValuesAll team members are expected to uphold and model our core values:Integrity – We do what's right, even when no one is watching.Community – We foster collaboration and connection with those we serve.Joy – We bring positivity and appreciation to our work.Pride – We take ownership and celebrate a job well done.Personal Responsibility – We hold ourselves accountable to commitments and results.Continuous Improvement – We embrace feedback, learning, and innovation.Equal Opportunity StatementDecron Properties is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
