Trend Health and Rehab of Meridian is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable CNA Instructor to lead our in-facility Certified Nursing Assistant training program. We are looking for a nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and preparing future CNAs to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, skills lab, and clinical instruction to CNA students.
• Teach the approved Nurse Aide Training Program curriculum in accordance with Mississippi requirements and facility policies.
• Demonstrate proper nursing assistant skills and resident-care techniques.
• Supervise students during clinical training and ensure resident safety.
• Evaluate student competency through written testing, skills demonstrations, and clinical performance.
• Maintain accurate attendance, training, testing, competency, and student records.
• Prepare students for successful completion of the CNA program and state competency examination.
• Reinforce infection prevention, resident rights, safety, communication, documentation, and quality-of-care standards.
• Serve as a positive mentor and professional role model for students.
• Work closely with nursing leadership and facility administration to support recruitment and development of future CNAs.

Qualifications

• Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing.
• Nursing experience that meets applicable Mississippi Nurse Aide Training Program instructor requirements.
• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Previous teaching, staff development, or CNA training experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively teach and motivate students with different learning styles.
• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for Nurse Aide Training Program instructors.
