Harmony Health Center is seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Staffing Coordinator to manage nursing schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage for all shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and publish complete weekly nursing schedules in a timely manner.
• Ensure adequate coverage for all shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Monitor daily staffing needs based on census and facility requirements.
• Respond promptly to call-outs and arrange replacement coverage.
• Communicate schedule changes clearly and promptly to employees and nursing leadership.
• Review timecards and timesheets for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies.
• Track attendance, absences, overtime, and agency utilization.
• Maintain accurate staffing and scheduling records.
• Assist with reducing overtime and agency usage while maintaining appropriate coverage.
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing and Administrator regarding staffing needs and concerns.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, consistency, and fairness in all staffing matters.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous staffing or scheduling experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle call-outs and last-minute staffing changes efficiently.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of scheduling, timekeeping systems, email, and Microsoft Office.
• Must be available to assist with urgent staffing needs when necessary.
