Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Hematology / Oncology Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Oncology Registered Nurse - Contract Position Schedule This position involves 3 × 12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts may be required, including every other weekend or one weekend every six weeks, depending on departmental needs. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. The nurse will be primarily responsible for the administration of chemotherapy and managing care for patients undergoing Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT). Floating to Med Surg will be rare but may occur if work is unavailable on the BMT floor. Responsibilities Administer chemotherapy and manage the care of oncology patients. Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and potential side effects. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, ideally in oncology. Oncology Nurse Certification (ONS) recommended. BLS certification required.
