Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead warehouse, production, order fulfillment, and material handling operations. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, customer service, productivity, and financial performance while leading a team of supervisors, managers, and frontline associates.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of improving warehouse performance, developing teams, and delivering exceptional service to customers.

This position would require relocation.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead all warehouse and distribution operations, including receiving, inventory management, order picking, shipping, and material handling activities.
• Ensure daily production and fulfillment goals are achieved while maintaining high standards for accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve productivity, labor utilization, and operational performance.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, picks per hour, inventory accuracy, throughput, safety metrics, and customer service levels.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and improving workflow.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse managers, supervisors, leads, and hourly associates.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Human Resources on hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.

Safety & Compliance

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• Lead accident investigations, corrective actions, and preventive safety initiatives.
• Ensure proper training and certification for forklift operators and other warehouse equipment users.
• Maintain compliance with all customer, regulatory, and quality requirements.

Customer & Business Management

• Build strong relationships with customers and serve as the primary escalation point for operational concerns.
• Ensure customer expectations and service level agreements are consistently met or exceeded.
• Manage operational budgets, labor planning, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to support business growth and operational expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics leadership experience.
• 3+ years of multi-site or large-scale operations management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • RF scanners and inventory control systems
  • Order fulfillment and distribution operations
  • Material handling equipment and warehouse safety standards
  • Labor planning and productivity management
• Experience leading production, fulfillment, or high-volume distribution environments.
• Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive operational improvements.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Third-party logistics (3PL) operations
• Order picking and fulfillment management
• Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement programs
• Inventory management and cycle counting processes
• Multi-shift warehouse operations
• Forklift and material handling operations
