Job Summary Join our team in Glendale, AZ, a vibrant city known for its excellent quality of life, diverse culture, and proximity to stunning natural landscapes. We are seeking a Machinist to operate production machines in a dynamic team environment. This is a safety-sensitive role subject to random drug testing and requires an eye exam and FAA drug test. The position is a direct hire for the 1st shift, with a pay rate dependent on skills and experience. Responsibilities Perform repetitive machine operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming, and smoothing parts. Make minor adjustments and report improper machine functioning or cutting action for correction. Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures following established methods. Set feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts. Perform operations such as reaming, tapping, spot-facing, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring. Visually inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surfaces. Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, cracks, or other irregularities from machined parts. Inspect parts for conformance to specifications using gauges or other measuring instruments. Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements accurately and regularly. Observe all prescribed safety rules and maintain the work area in an orderly condition. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1-3 years of general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. Demonstrated manual dexterity. Ability to read and understand work instructions or blueprints. Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics. Effective English verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
