Join our mission to continuously move science forward; to innovate and advance all aspects of our business to improve the health and safety of our communities and lives.OverviewThis Formulation and Development Associate – Animal Health R&D will provide hands-on support for early and late phase formulation and process development.Compensation: $23.00 - 25.00 per hourResponsibilitiesDesign, execute, analyze, and evaluate experiments that meet R&D product development objectives using hands-on, scale-down models of manufacturing processesEnsure experiments are well designed and documented with clear objectivesTechnically manage small-scale laboratory projects as requiredIdentify process improvement opportunities through data analysis, observation, and technical report writing in collaboration with senior scientists and techniciansMonitor and interpret drug product study resultsOrganize and execute routine experimental work in accordance with established methods, SOPs, and applicable regulatory guidelinesIndependently operate and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment relevant to assigned workRecognize and communicate atypical results/deviations and support investigation and resolution as neededAccurately document work in batch records and/or electronic laboratory notebooksWrite and present technical summaries at department meetings and reviewsCollaborate with scientists, cross-functional teams, and manufacturing partners to share key learningsParticipate in project meetings and contribute technical inputAble to adapt to new procedures and evolving project needs in a dynamic R&D environmentMaintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory work environment and encourage safe behaviors by coworkersContributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains a positive attitudeQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline with 2 years of relevant laboratory experience will also be consideredMaster’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field preferredMechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with laboratory equipmentStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, technical curiosity, and high learning agilityAbility to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teamsEffective written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting technical dataDemonstrated ownership with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficientlyInterest in pharmaceutical science and drug product manufacturing, with a willingness to learn and grow in this areaAdditional Preferences:Experience troubleshooting scientific equipmentExperience maintaining electronic laboratory notebooksKnowledge of and hands-on experience with drug product development processes (e.g., extrusion, granulation, tablet compression)Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and data analysisProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to adapt flexibly and work effectively with othersMotivation to learn and grow within pharmaceutical science and developmentOther Information:Intermittent exposure to elevated noise levels may occurWork may involve interaction with large equipment and potential mechanical hazardsFind Your Place at Pace - We need you - your curiosity, your talents, and your drive - to help us advance this important work.BenefitsWhen you join Pace, you commit to work that makes a positive impact on our communities and our world.
