We are seeking a daytime Host to join our team! The host is one of the most crucial positions in a restaurant, the host is the first person the guest sees and engages with as well as controls the flow for the entire shift. Day to day responsibilities for a daytime host include:

• Managing reservations, either in person, on the phone or online.
• Answering phone calls.
• Seating guests and answering any initial questions.
• Providing waiting times when necessary or for guests without reservations.
• Creating an appropriate atmosphere when guests arrive.
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in front of house area.
• Assisting with opening and closing of restaurant.
• Knowledge of menu.
• Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the same guest count.

Some host requirements include:

• To maintain a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
• To provide excellent customer service in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
