The Barista is responsible for delivering the Starbucks Experience by providing exceptional customer service, crafting high-quality beverages, and maintaining a welcoming, clean, and efficient store environment. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Essential duties and responsibilities include acting with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks; greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and handling transactions at the register; preparing and serving handcrafted beverages and food items according to Starbucks standards; maintaining knowledge of menu offerings, seasonal promotions, and customization options; following recipes and quality standards for beverages, ensuring consistency; keeping the caf area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift; operating and maintaining coffee brewing equipment and other store tools; supporting a team environment by communicating effectively and assisting coworkers as needed; adhering to food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines; and delivering outstanding guest service by anticipating needs, handling complaints professionally, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements include 1 year + customer service experience required, the ability to verbally communicate clearly with guests and fellow employees, the ability to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, the ability to stand for extended periods of time, the ability to lift heavy objects for stocking and storage assistance, and occasionally required to identify and differentiate between flavors and aromas.

Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year- any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
