Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing comprehensive perioperative care within a Level I Trauma Center, supporting a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, surgical oncology, ENT, ophthalmology, and more. The role requires independent circulation and call responsibilities, with a focus on outpatient procedures and maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience; Active RN license; Location outside 50 miles from the facility; Ability to circulate independently and take call as required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult trauma and outpatient surgeries; Strong ambulatory care background.
• Responsibilities: Support various surgical procedures in a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center; operate with minimal supervision; take call and work weekend shifts as scheduled; rotate between 12-hour shifts and occasional 8-hour shifts; participate in unit orientation, including training on EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, including 12-hour days and evenings, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The position involves floating between units depending on experience, with a focus on outpatient case management. Orientation includes training on EPIC and unit-specific protocols.
