The Human Resources Generalist will manage and support various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The HR Generalist will serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding HR matters and provide guidance and support to both employees and managers. They also work closely with management to implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall goals of the organization.This position is onsite five days per week at our Sheldon Rd. plant in northeast Houston, located at 8603 Sheldon Rd., Houston, TX 77049.Your Role At A GlanceProvide tactical HR support to manufacturing managers and employees while implementing HR programs, policies, and processesAct as a reliable resource for employee relations, offering guidance to managers, supporting issue resolution, and fostering a respectful and compliant workplace environmentMaintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with compliance requirementsGenerate HR reports and support data-driven decision-makingSupport employee engagement initiatives by facilitating employee roundtables, ensuring all voices are heard and that feedback is thoughtfully addressed by HR and managementDrive and support employee engagement initiatives and events that enhance workplace culture, morale, and employee experienceCoordinate pre-employment and return-to-work processes, including medical clearances and drug testingSupport the full cycle hiring process, including preparing offer letters, and coordinating onboarding activitiesPartner with management and departments in new hire orientation deliveryAdminister key employee lifecycle processes such as transfers, promotions, and Skill-Based Development (SBD) elevations, ensuring accuracy and consistencyManage the termination process, ensuring proper documentation and compliancePartner with leaders to coordinate and track performance management activities, including 90-day and 120-day reviews, and reinforce a culture of ongoing feedback and developmentProcess and track tuition reimbursement and wellness program reimbursementsProvide administrative support for Workers' Compensation (WC) claimsPartner with Safety and Operations teams to reinforce a strong safety cultureEnsure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and proceduresEnsure payroll accuracy and compliance through weekly timecard audits and proactive issue resolutionContribute to broader HR initiatives, including benefits administration, compensation processes, and organizational projects, supporting overall business objectivesMaintain robust and organized HR systems and records, ensuring data integrity and ease of accessWhat Sets You ApartBA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or comparable field3-5 years exempt level HR experience in an industrial / manufacturing setting preferredHR Certification desired (PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulationsStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsExperience supporting employee relations and performance managementAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProfessional, approachable, and collaborative work styleExperience working with an hourly workforce preferredWhat Powers Your PerformanceCommunicate clearly and constructivelyCollaborate effectively and contribute to team successAdapt to change with a positive, proactive mindsetTake accountability and show initiative in their workDemonstrate reliability and pride in performancePrioritize safety and act with awarenessEmbrace feedback and use it to growMaintain high attention to detailDrive continuous improvement and challenge the status quoSupport and develop others through shared learningHow We Support Your SuccessWe're committed to helping you thrive—on the job and beyond.
