Salary Range: $75,000 - $115,000 The Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) is a mission‑driven organization dedicated to providing top‑quality applied behavior analysis services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. With locations throughout the United States and a team that includes behavior technicians, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and researchers, CARD treats autistic individuals using empirically proven ABA principles. Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment and analysis of patients’ skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, oversight of implementation, collaboration with caregivers, and ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans focus on medical necessity and are delivered in a variety of settings including CARD centers, patient homes, schools, community settings, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full‑time position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient. Develop and maintain treatment plans. Ensure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month. Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths. Analyze challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behavior. Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors. Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions. Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols. Direct behavior technicians in implementing new or revised treatment protocols. Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians. Primarily work physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation. Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward treatment goals and adjust protocols based on data. Update treatment plans at least once per month, based on patient response to treatment. Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory hours and therapy hours. Accurately communicate treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers). Coordinate care with other professionals. Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments. Include caregiver as part of the treatment team, evidenced by consistent caregiver collaboration meetings. Interact with payers in a collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative manner. Engage with payers as needed for funding meetings (IEP, peer reviews). Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence. Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues. Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues. Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times. Partner consistently and effectively with other center leadership, including Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator, Technician, and Behavior Technician Leads. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis or related field (required). Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (required). Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (required). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Empathetic and compassionate, with strong confidentiality practices. Collaborative, positive, and solution‑focused attitude toward team members. Independent problem‑solving and clinical judgment. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment. Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and ability to learn new systems and iPads. Desire to continuously learn and develop skill sets. Willingness to work in a variety of locations (center, patient home, etc.). Willingness to work with a variety of patients. Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance. Must pass tuberculosis test. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Work Environment Treatment may occur in patient homes, CARD centers, schools, community settings, or via telehealth. Supervisors work in indoor and outdoor settings and may move between locations during the day. Environments can include loud or excessive noise at times. Physical Requirements Work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other environments. Move frequently to gather materials, respond to patient movements, and provide instruction in various settings. Position oneself to respond to patient movements or behaviors, including bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Use continuous visual tracking to monitor patients and environmental objects. Evade aggressive behaviors and physically block attempts to aggress toward others when necessary. Bear weight of a patient who may be leaning or pushing. Teach patients to use vocal speech and model clear communication. Model gross and fine motor skills such as climbing, jumping, clapping, or opening containers. Work in indoor and outdoor settings in various weather conditions. Lift up to 30 lbs. while assisting patients.
