**Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - Evening Shift** **Job Description:** - Join a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment! - Assess and reassess patient needs, crafting personalized care plans that truly make a difference. - Deliver care with compassion, respecting each patient's individuality and promoting their dignity. - Engage with patients and families through customized teaching strategies that cater to unique learning needs. - Collaboratively plan for patient discharge, ensuring a smooth transition with necessary support systems in place. - Supervise and delegate nursing interventions efficiently to optimize patient care and team dynamics. - Prioritize patient care like a pro - know when to seek assistance and when to act decisively, especially in emergencies. - Document all patient data, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly, maintaining high standards of care. - Provide thorough handoffs to healthcare team members for seamless continuity of care. - Champion professional growth by fostering learning opportunities for yourself and your colleagues. - Identify potential risks to patient safety, striving to reduce healthcare errors and enhance care quality. - Tackle ethical issues head-on, developing proactive plans to address concerns. - Administer medications and intravenous therapies safely, in alignment with established protocols. - Assess patients' pain levels upon admission and monitor effectiveness of pain management strategies. - Keep a vigilant eye on patient progress, communicating any concerns to physicians timely. - Master the setup and maintenance of surgical equipment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. **Functional Demands:** - Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently. - Frequent reaching, handling, and feeling as essential activities of daily nursing. - Occasionally stooping and kneeling to meet the needs of patients. **Organizational Expectations:** - Exhibit achievement motivation and flexibility in a dynamic work environment. - Demonstrate initiative and interpersonal effectiveness while promoting teamwork. - Cultivate a customer-service-oriented mindset and engage in analytical thinking. **Job Requirements:** - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience preferred. - 1 year of Telemetry experience preferred. - 1 year of Pediatrics experience preferred. - Current MA RN license. - ACLS upon hire OR must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire. - PALS preferred. **Required Skills:** - Demonstrates mature professional behaviors such as tact, empathy, and diplomacy. - Promotes a positive working environment for self and others. **Shift Information:** - 32-hour evening shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, every other weekend and holiday. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
