Compliance Analyst

BrightShore Mortgage is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Compliance Analyst to support our Compliance Management System (CMS), regulatory compliance, licensing, and corporate governance initiatives. This role partners across the organization to help ensure we meet evolving regulatory requirements while strengthening our culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence. Position Summary The Compliance Analyst supports BrightShore's Compliance Management System (CMS) by assisting with the research, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of regulatory compliance, corporate governance, licensing, and operational risk management activities. This position plays a key role in helping ensure the organization remains compliant with applicable federal and state laws, agency requirements, investor guidelines, and internal policies while supporting a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence. The Compliance Analyst performs regulatory research, monitors legislative and industry developments, and assists in evaluating the operational impact of new or changing regulatory requirements. This role supports licensing administration, corporate governance, regulatory reporting, policy and procedure management, compliance testing, vendor oversight, agency submissions, and internal audit activities while coordinating with business units to promote timely implementation of compliance initiatives. Working closely with Operations, Client Experience, Technology, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Legal Counsel, executive leadership, and regulatory agencies, the Compliance Analyst assists in maintaining corporate licenses, managing compliance calendars, coordinating regulatory examinations, supporting agency and investor audits, administering compliance training programs, and ensuring policies, procedures, and operational controls remain current, effective, and aligned with regulatory expectations. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business processes. entity management, regulatory reporting obligations, and corporate recordkeeping requirements Demonstrates sound organizational skills while managing multiple regulatory deadlines, licensing renewals, federal and state laws, agency guidance, investor requirements, and industry developments to identify regulatory changes that may impact BrightShore's operations Analyze new and revised regulatory requirements and assist business units in implementing operational processes that maintain ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agency guidelines, and company policies Manage incoming regulatory correspondence, licensing communications, agency notifications, and compliance-related mail, ensuring timely tracking, routing, response, and retention Coordinate the preparation, completion, submission, and renewal of company licenses, registrations, and approvals through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) and other applicable regulatory agencies Maintain company licensing records, Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) licensing, foreign qualifications, registered agent information, annual reports, and other corporate governance records Assist with corporate governance activities, including entity maintenance, organizational records, corporate filings, board documentation, and other governance initiatives Develop, maintain, and administer the enterprise compliance calendar, ensuring regulatory filings, licensing renewals, examinations, assessments, testing, and reporting requirements are completed timely Coordinate required servicing assessments, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, business continuity testing, disaster recovery exercises, SOC reviews, risk assessments, and other recurring compliance activities Assist in reviewing consumer complaints, Qualified Written Requests (QWRs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Notices of Error (NOEs), regulatory complaints, and executive escalations to identify compliance trends and support regulatory responses Assist in preparing responses for agency examinations, regulatory inquiries, investor reviews, internal audits, and Operational Integrity Team findings by gathering documentation, validating corrective actions, and coordinating departmental responses Support the administration and continuous improvement of BrightShore's Compliance Management System (CMS), including compliance monitoring, issue tracking, corrective action management, and regulatory reporting Assist in maintaining the enterprise policy and procedure library by coordinating annual reviews, version control, approvals, publication, and ongoing updates to ensure documentation remains accurate and compliant Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate change management activities by communicating new requirements, tracking implementation efforts, and validating operational readiness across departments Coordinate and document compliance testing, internal monitoring activities, operational assessments, and corrective action follow-up to ensure identified issues are resolved effectively Assist in administering vendor risk management activities, including onboarding, offboarding, due diligence reviews, inherent risk assessments, residual risk assessments, contract tracking, and ongoing vendor monitoring Maintain centralized regulatory reporting matrices supporting agency reporting, Mortgage Call Reports (MCRs), MERS reporting, investor reporting requirements, licensing obligations, and other recurring compliance submissions Support the development, coordination, and maintenance of new hire and annual compliance training programs covering AML, BSA, UDAAP, Fair Lending, RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, FCRA, SCRA, privacy, fraud prevention, information security, and other required regulatory topics Monitor agency and investor portals, including FHA Connection, SMDU, VALERI, and other applicable systems, to ensure required reporting, certifications, submissions, and compliance obligations are completed accurately and timely Maintain organized records supporting licensing activities, examinations, regulatory correspondence, audit documentation, compliance testing, training records, and corporate governance requirements Develop reports, dashboards, and tracking tools that provide visibility into licensing status, compliance initiatives, audit findings, corrective actions, regulatory deadlines, and key compliance metrics Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes through workflow enhancements, automation, standardization, and technology solutions that strengthen efficiency and reduce operational risk Partner with Operations, Technology, Human Resources, Client Experience, Legal Counsel, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and executive leadership to promote a proactive culture of compliance and continuous improvement Maintain confidentiality of sensitive regulatory, corporate, employee, borrower, investor, and company information while adhering to all applicable privacy and security requirements Serve as a trusted compliance resource by researching regulatory questions, providing well-supported guidance, and helping business units implement compliant operational solutions while balancing regulatory expectations with operational efficiency Monitor emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, and digital servicing tools, to evaluate regulatory considerations and support their compliant implementation within BrightShore's operations Continuously evaluate opportunities to simplify compliance obligations through improved processes, standardized documentation, enhanced monitoring, and proactive risk management practices that strengthen BrightShore's Compliance Management System Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned in support of BrightShore's regulatory compliance, corporate governance, licensing, and enterprise risk management programs Education, Experience and /or Skills Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Legal Studies, Public Administration, Mortgage Banking, Compliance, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage servicing, regulatory compliance, risk management, licensing, quality assurance, internal audit, legal support, corporate governance, or a related operational environment preferred Working knowledge of federal and state mortgage servicing regulations, agency requirements, investor guidelines, and industry best practices preferred Experience researching regulatory requirements, interpreting laws and guidance, and assisting with the implementation of compliant business processes preferred Experience supporting a Compliance Management System (CMS), including policy administration, compliance monitoring, regulatory change management, issue tracking, or corrective action management preferred Working knowledge of mortgage servicing laws and regulations, including RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, FCRA, UDAAP, Fair Lending, AML, BSA, SCRA, GLBA, and state servicing requirements preferred Experience administering licensing activities through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS), including company licensing, Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) licensing, foreign qualifications, and state registrations preferred Experience supporting agency examinations, investor reviews, regulatory audits, internal audits, or compliance assessments preferred Familiarity with vendor management, third-party risk management, due diligence reviews, and ongoing vendor oversight preferred Experience coordinating compliance training programs, maintaining policy and procedure libraries, or supporting enterprise governance initiatives preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; experience with compliance management systems, document management platforms, workflow tools, reporting applications, or data analytics solutions is preferred Excellent analytical, organizational, research, and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex regulatory requirements and communicate practical business solutions Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prepare professional correspondence, reports, policies, and regulatory documentation Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities,
