Job Summary:
Preoperative Registered Nurse position available in a unit specialized in preoperative and short stay procedures. Located in a facility with a 13-bed capacity, this role involves providing patient care for general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, and cath lab procedures. The position requires flexibility to float across designated areas and to participate in rotating weekend and on-call schedules.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with current BLS certification; experience with Meditech Magic Electronic Medical Records and preoperative/case management experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in preoperative and phase 2 nursing, ability to take rotating weekday and weekend call, and excellent IV skills.
• Float: Float rotation may be required across PreOp, Phase 2, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a unit that serves multiple surgical specialties, requiring a flexible schedule and motivated attitude to learn new skills. The candidate should adhere to scrub dress code specified as navy attire and be prepared for rotating weekend and on-call duties every 4-5 weeks.
