Program Manager

Program ManagerOur client is seeking a Program Manager who will work with subject matter experts to establish the budget required to execute the scope of work. This individual will monitor program progress and coordinate activities across the team to meet quality, timing, cost, and risk targets throughout the development of drug delivery devices. Operating within established development procedures, the Program Manager will provide leadership and coordination across the various workstreams of the program team. Programs may range from full product development to smaller-scale initiatives within the broader development process. Resources are often located across different sites which requires strong leadership and experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the customer (internal or external) in collaboration with the key account manager by being the main communication interfaceManage and coordinate the whole program and allocated program team from the request for quotation to the validation of small-scale processes and product design freeze in respect to quality, costs and timing targetsManage program risks and proactively drive any associated action plansActively participate and coordinate the effective presentation of program status at periodic governance meetingsManage multiple programs at the same timeBe capable of providing appropriate effort depending on the program complexityCreate program and project plans to track development progress and expensesCoordinate with the finance controller to ensure accurate tracking of financesParticipate in the technical decisions and supplier selection with the teamQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, science or related field5+ years of program management experience in medical devices development preferredExperience with high volume production, injection molding and automationExperience with leading multi-disciplinary project teamsExperience directly interacting with customersStrong leadership with exceptional communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and organization skillsProgram management experience of medical device or combination product developmentFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations (FDA 820, ISO 13485, ISO 62366)Experience with high-volume production, injection molding and automationLocation: Chicago, ILEmployee Type: W2 Contract (approximately 6 months) Potential for contract-to-hire conversionCompensation & Benefits: Hourly rate $55-$70 Medical and dental insurance Paid vacation time 401(k) after 90 days
