Description This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care within a reputable medical practice, delivering comprehensive oncology and hematology services to the community. As a Locum physician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with blood disorders and cancers. Working closely with our clinical team, you will develop and implement treatment plans, administer chemotherapy and other therapies, and ensure continuity of care for patients. This is a full-time (contract) position, with work performed on-site, and offers the flexibility of a yearly compensation structure in USD, based on experience and industry standards. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions Review patient medical histories and perform physical examinations Diagnose and treat hematologic and oncologic disorders, including prescribing and administering chemotherapy Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging, and biopsies Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options Maintain compliance with all medical, ethical, and regulatory standards Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Kentucky (or ability to obtain licensure) Board certification or eligibility in Hematology, Oncology, or both Associate-level experience in hematology/oncology clinical practice Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based patient care Must be eligible to work in the United States and available for on-site work in Pikeville Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts), 1 week on/ 1 week off No call requirement Patient Volume: 20 per day Responsibilities: Benign and malignant cases EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr
